Evolver is seeking a Mid-to Senior Level System Engineer to work in Manassas, VA 


Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

Evolver is seeking a Mid-to-Senior Level System Engineer to join our team supporting government customer in Manassas, VA. In this role you will be a member of a team that supports all IT related matters within organization and provides technical assistance and support to its users. You will have the opportunity to work across a wide breadth of technologies including Windows servers, virtualization, storage, and network.

  • Experience defining all project activities and milestones required to meet objectives and deliverables, properly sequencing tasks and estimating effort with project team members doing the work, determining the critical path, and leveling the project schedule.

Technical Requirements (required and desired)

Technical Requirements:

  • Expert knowledge of Active Directory and related services
  • Designing, deploying, and managing Active Directory domain services, including DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and DFS
  • User and Computer Account Management
  • Windows Server Administration
  • Experience with deploying and administering Windows Server operating systems, including, SQL 2016 and Windows 2012 R2
  • Software deployment and installation (including Microsoft and Third party patches and updates)
  • Microsoft System Center Suite (SCCM, SCOM, SCSM)
  • Monitor servers and service availability
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software problems
  • Create and maintain documentation of server configurations
  • Maintain and manage server backups and recovery.
  • Experience with server virtualization.
  • Supporting and managing Storage Area Networks, including LUN creation, and multi-pathing,
  • Experience with deploying and supporting Windows 10
  • Monitor compliance with security updates, upgrades, patches, etc.
  • Apply Microsoft and Third party patches on monthly basis
  • Hand-on experience administering Netapp storage arrays
  • Familiarity for Citrix Netscaler load-balancer
  • Experience running Microsoft System Center Operation manager (SCOM)
  • Deep knowledge of VMware VSphere 6.x


Training and Certifications (required and desired)

  • 8 years of Information Technology experience with Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent.
  • Certifications a plus
