Maverick Cyber-Defense now Evolver Inc., A Converged Security Solutions Company seeks exceptionally qualified individuals to serve as a Vulnerability Management Specialist in support of a DIA contract. The Intelligence Community Security Coordination Center (IC SCC) is a federal cyber center with a mission to ensure the execution of defensive activities, coordinate security monitoring across the IC, and maintain awareness of security-related threats, events, and incidents.
The Vulnerability Management Specialist will provide cyber security alerts and bulletins to the IC CND community. They will track and report compliance to CVEs from the IC Elements. They will continually identify and implement measurable and proactive processes that secure Oss, applications, and HW Patch management.
The position of Vulnerability Management Specialist shall possess the following qualifications:
A Bachelor's Degree in Science plus 4 years of industry experience preferred; or a High School Diploma plus 8 years experience, an Associate's Degree plus 6 years experience, a Master's Degree plus 2 years experience, or a PHD.
Strong overall understanding of cybersecurity vulnerabilities, ICVM, ICVA, and ICVB.
Understanding of the NIST National Vulnerability Database (NVD) and CVSS scoring.
Understanding and experience in identifying and patching software vulnerabilities.
Ability to quickly pull metrics and generate reports.
Familiarity with ACAS (or Tenable Nessus) and HBSS.
Ability to achieve a certification equal to or greater than DoD 8570
