    eVigilant, a Converged Security Solutions Company, is seeking  Laborers to join our team.  You will work in Washington, DC. metro area.

    Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

    Entry Level Laborer


    We are willing to train motivated individuals with no experience to:


    • Construct and later disassemble reinforcement braces, concrete forms, scaffolds and temporary structures
    • Transport bricks, cans of paint, cinder blocks, drywall sheets, electrical spools of wire, roofing panels and wooden wall panels
    • Use shovels and backhoes to dig holes and smooth terrain
    • Mop, brush, or spread paints, cleaning solutions, or other compounds over surfaces to clean them or to provide protection
    • Signal equipment operators to facilitate alignment, movement, and adjustment of machinery, equipment, and materials
    • Clean and prepare construction sites to eliminate possible hazards



    Minimum Qualifications and Requirements

    • Control traffic passing near, in, and around work zones
    • Read and interpret plans, instructions, and specifications to determine work activities
    • Load, unload, and identify building materials, machinery, and tools, and distribute them to the appropriate locations, according to project plans and specifications
    • Measure, mark, and record openings and distances to lay out areas where construction work will be performed
    • Remove trash, residual building debris and potential dangerous materials from construction sites


    Technical Requirements (required and desired)

    • Perform tasks both indoors and outdoors on all areas and aspects of construction projects
    • Must be able to handle repetitive motion, have good dexterity, and alertness
    • Ascend ladders for heights of up to 60 feet, and crawl for distances of 50 feet
    • Must be able to pass a pre-employment Background Investigation and Drug Screening.

    Training and Certifications (required and desired)

    • Move and exert maximum muscle force to lift, push, pull or carry objects
    • Requires ability to work with tools, lumber, and materials
    • Ability to lift and manipulate objects of up to 50 lbs for 50 feet is required
    • Ability to take direction well and execute directs with minimal prompting
