    Evolver Legal Services is seeking a Paralegal to work in Clarksburg, WV. 



    Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

    General Paralegal at the Mid/Junior level with the required qualifications will be evaluated for this position.

    The Place of Performance is Criminal Justice Information Law Unit (CJILU) in Clarksburg, WV.

    Active Top Secret Clearance is required.

    Telework is not an option and as such the candidate will need to live in close proximity of the place of performance, Clarksburg, WV.

    The selected candidate will serve as a General Paralegal (Mid/Jr) and will be required to perform the following duties:

    • Conduct basic legal research;
    • Gather, analyze and compile information pertaining to federal and state statutes;
    • Draft written correspondence to internal and external components;
    • Research policies; 
    • Communicate with external state and federal components.

    Minimum Qualifications and Requirements

    Specialized experience is work which requires the applicant to have extensive interpersonal-related interaction in the workplace and is work which involves:

    • At least 5 years' palalegal experience required;
    • Conducting research (legal research is preferred); 
    • Compiling and analyzing information to form a recommendation; 
    • Drafting clear concise written correspondence to internal and/or external components; 
    • Communicating orally; 
    • Knowledge of policies and procedures; 
    • Basic understanding of legal principles; 
    • Experience with Westlaw or Lexis is beneficial;   
    • A degree or certification from a paralegal studies program and/or past experience working as a paralegal is preferred;   
    • Strong interpersonal skills, reliability, and demonstrated trustworthiness are required.
