    Minimum Qualifications and Requirements

    Job Information

    Cybersecurity analysts will work with Evolver’s clients to ensure a client’s information is assured in terms of confidentiality, integrity, and availability. Successful candidates will demonstrate a true passion for increasing their knowledge in different mission assurance areas across different industry and government sectors, conducting research and staying current on the latest threats and prevention techniques affecting our customers.

    On-site proven cyber security consulting is critical, ideally in multiple areas of the commercial and federal environment. The successful candidate will work as part of a team or independently delivering value in a fast-paced environment. The candidate will also contribute to new business development.

    Travel, up to 50% may be required.

    Key Job Functions

    • Plan, implement and upgrade security measures and controls
    • Define, implement and maintain security policies and establish plans to monitor and protect digital assets from unauthorized access, modification and/or destruction
    • Perform vulnerability testing, risk analyses and security assessments
    • Conduct internal and external security assessments, both qualitative and quantitative using industry leading practices such as the Cyber Security Framework and the Factored Analysis of Information Risk (FAIR) model
    • Understand the management of network, intrusion detection and prevention systems
    • Write report inputs that describe assessment assumptions, scope parameters, and recommendations to client on remediation action
    • Recommend and install appropriate tools and countermeasures
    • Train clients in security awareness and procedures
    • Support sales team with technical discussions and demonstrations 
    • Familiar with DoD RMF and NIST control framework

    Technical Requirements (required and desired)

    Abilities Required

    • Basic understanding of cyber risk management
    • Strong technical skills
    • Have strong interpersonal and communication skills to work with clients on new and emerging projects
    • Ability to communicate effectively with senior management, both orally and in writing
    • Ability to think critically from different perspectives (outside the box)
    • Ability to work on a team and individually
    • Aptitude with established risk management practices
    • Ability to conduct focused research and develop recommendations

    Specialized Knowledge and Skills

    • Security Plus or DoD 8570 certification, preferred CISSP certification or equivalent
    • Factor Analysis of Information Risk (FAIR) certified within 60 days of start of work
    • Conducted 3 NIST CSF control assessments or equivalent, preferred: 1+ government assessments
    • Have prepared Security Controls Assessment Reports, Plans of Actions and Milestones (POA&Ms)

    Training and Certifications (required and desired)

    Education

    • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent required, Graduate Cybersecurity certificate or Master’s degree in cyber area preferred

    Minimum Experience in the Field  

    • 4+ years of information/mission assurance experience
