Evolver is seeking a Network Architect to work in San Francisco, CA.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

Architecture Responsibilities:


  • Lead the enhancement, consolidation, and refreshment of network infrastructure to achieve improvement in monitoring, performance, scalability, and reliability
  • Architect and design solutions able to solve enterprise challenges including distributing workloads across multiple datacenters and an increasingly seamless connectivity between internal and external services
  • Design and implement IT network infrastructure with a BCP / DR implementation, drill testing, and maintenance
  • Develop network and security solutions & policies based on technology risk management model and comply with regulatory requirements
  • Evaluate, coordinate, and manage vendors for outsourced services to maintain quality support


Support Operations as Necessary:


  • Manage and operate an entire range of network devices
  • Provide on-site or remote product installation, support and problem solving for IT Infrastructure related tasks that are affected by the network such as servers, storage, workstations, printers, and IP phones
  • Perform troubleshooting and root-cause-analysis to fix complex IT infrastructure problem which involves multiple technology domains
  • Manage and implement patch management, version upgrade, change management, and capacity management of network and security devices
  • Work with the IT team, operations, business units, and vendors for various initiatives with limited travel

Minimum Qualifications and Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience supporting large network infrastructures
  • 7+ years of experience in a primary design, architecture or implementation role in network infrastructure
  • 3+ years of datacenter infrastructure, security, and virtualization preferred
  • Hands on working experience in the implementation of network infrastructure supporting data, voice, video, and wireless in a converged environment.
  • Strong knowledge of Cisco Switches, Routers, and Firewalls
  • Proactive and strong incident analysis skills
  • Effective communicator who can work with all levels of the organization and ability to explain technology options and issues to management

Technical Requirements (required and desired)

  • Good knowledge on common routing protocols and WAN technologies including but not limited to BGP, EIGRP, DMVPN, and MPLS/VPLS
  • Knowledge of Wireless, ISE/ACS, VPN, QoS, Network Virtualization, and Riverbed Optimization a plus
  • Experience with network management, monitoring, availability, and capacity planning (e.g. SolarWinds) desired 

Training and Certifications (required and desired)

  • CCIE highly desired
  • Will consider a strong list of alternative certifications (e.g. CCNP, CCDP, CCDE, CISSP)
  • Similar certifications in areas related to network, security, or virtualization solutions a plus
